Fuel constitutes the single largest operating cost of a vessel today, and efficient hull cleaning and propeller polishing can save substantial amounts of money, having been shown to improve efficiency by up to 15%. Our divers are experienced and diligent, ensuring your vessel is cleaned to a high standard ready for her onward passage, with varying packages depending on the time you have available.  Propeller surface roughness directly effects propeller efficiency, and a higher propeller efficiency equals lower fuel consumption. If done right and done regularly it can result in 5% or even more fuel savings.

  • Propellers and Dunce caps

  • Shafts

  • Struts and Bearing housings

  • Fairwaters and rope guards

  • Rotating coupling covers

  • Rudders

  • Bilge Keels

  • Sea Chests

A Full Cleaning includes everything from a One-Day Efficiency Clean, as well as removing all marine fouling from:

INSPECTION & SURVEY SERVICES

SG SALVAGE are Recognised External Specialists for In-Water Survey (IWS) for the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and Registro Italiano Navale (RINA), allowing us to conduct IWS and UWILD (Underwater Inspection in Lieu of Dry-Docking) on location, saving vessel owners and their clients both time and money by reducing downtime, limiting time off-contract, and reducing or eliminating the need for expensive and limited dry-docking.

Our highly trained divers can survey, inspect, repair and replace deteriorated underwater components, finding the best way to safely resolve potentially complex and costly problems with minimal impact on facilities and surrounding waters.

We have years of experience completing in-water surveys and ship maintenance and are the only IACS class approved commercial diving company in Djibouti and the Horn of Africa.
